After the Satan's Ball, Koroviev again becomes the clown, but despite this fact he helps Margarita to have conversation with Frieda. He helped Margarita to take care of master and burns history of his illness and gives Master and Margarita their documents. As a result, he helps the main heroes and fulfills the orders, given by Woland, after those good actions, Koroviev begins his last mission in Moscow. Together with his constant companion Behemoth he arranged the fire in the Griboyedov's restaurant. From the point of view of Koroviev, it was the last punishment for Moscow citizens for their greediness and corruption. Then, together with Woland, Behemoth and others he left Moscow. Their functions in this city are over.
During the whole novel the image of Koroviev was the embodiment of a knight, who as well as his master realizes the price for virtues and weaknesses of people. The author entitled Koroviev with the function of a clown, the main aim of which is to unmask lies, falsehood, greediness and a lot of other negative features of people. During the whole novel he makes fun of people's virtues and foolishness. He has to give them some kind of knowledge. By means of the image of Koroviev, Bulgakov shows the readers how corrupt and stupid people can be. This is the main purpose of the book and purpose of Woland and his band in Moscow. The opinions of this book and of the main characters of it are rather disputable, as they can evoke absolutely different feelings and emotions.
