There's nothing more frustrating than spending hours and hours on a website and then realising at the end of the process that the page is second rate. It's more than just a matter of pride. If you are using your page for an internet business it can be deadly for sales. Who wants to buy from someone who can only put together a cheap looking website?
If you are doing your own website then you have a good reason for it. The reason could be as simple as a lack of finances to pay a web developer to do it all for you. It could be trying to keep overheads down. If you are in business for yourself then this is likely the case. The problem is by spending many hours on producing a website it could still end up costing you money in other ways.
The first rule of business is spend time on what matters and delegate or discard the rest. People often look at this equation and remark that there are just some things you can't delegate or discard, and those jobs still take time. It's true, there are jobs that you just have to do, no matter what. There is another way to delegate, though.
Delegating usually means to give a job to someone else to do. Delegation can also mean finding a way to reduce the effort you are expending on a task. By reducing the effort you are expending then you can concentrate your efforts on something else. A good example of this would be that putting the dishes in the dishwasher is a form of delegation. You are getting the dishwasher to wash the dishes and all you are left to do is load and unload it. You have delegated the task to an automated process.
Let's look at websites again. A lot of time is spent using coding using languages such as HTML. If you were to eliminate that part of the task it would take a lot less time to do the job. If you were to eliminate having to resize photos it would take a lot less time as well.
What you need is a tool that will do the tricky parts for you, so that you can put together a website fast. That will leave you time to concentrate on the jobs that will earn you money. Automate as much of the process as possible and you are in a winning situation.
Don't spend hours where you don't need to. It will get you ahead of the competition if you do, and it will save you money in the long run.
