There are a number of activities that are organized all through out the Caribbean during the month of December and January. One such example is the Parang Festival in Trinidad and Tobago; this annual festival celebrates the holiday season through song. Mostly focused on the Eastern Trinidadian towns of Paramin and Arima- costumed bands perform traditional folk songs in Creole accompanied by the music of mandolin, cuatro, and box bass.
