It was Nokia S60 smartphone which was ruling the roost. Here comes the Nokia N95 which has the concept of doing everything to a completely new level. It was the N80 that bowled all of us over with its high-end built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and macro-focusing camera. Now its successor called Nokia N95 not just builds on the 3G specification, it sets a new benchmark and new platform for every other phone to follow.
Coming to the resolution of the camera, it has a 5 megapixels, and an automatic focusing system. It harnesses the resolution. The screen of the phone can now shoot video footage of the same quality that of the standalone camcorder. Here, you now not only get 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity - there is HSDPA connectivity too that allows you to supercharge your broadband access speed.
The real headline-grabber of the phone is its incorporation of its own satellite navigation system. It comes with a built-in GPS antenna, that provides you the free access to a world of road maps, allowing you to find out where you are, and how to get there.
It has a 2.6-inch, 16-million-colour 320 x 240-pixel screen. It is understandable with the in-built 3G accessory, it comes with the weight of 120g weight.
This Nokia N95 phone has been carefully designed to help you get to the things that matter with the minimum of fuss. As with all multifunction devices, there are lots of facilities that you have to scroll through menus and search through icons to find.
But if you want to use the digital music player, you can literally slip it into operation. A clever two-way slider mechanism means if you push the top of the phone up you get the expected numberpad, essential for typing messages or dialling numbers.
