Although rumors of Apple Siri are still intact and news regarding various hackers running Siri on older devices are flamingly hot, their are two official statements given out by Apple which puts us in confusion as to whether Siri will be available on older devices or NOT!
According to Cult of Mac A user suggestedly filed a bug report to Apple support and suggested Apple of offering Siri on older devices carrying iOS. Apple engineers replied that:
“we currently have no plans to support older devices,”
Steeber suggested in a report to Apple support, according to Macnn, that Apple should come up with a special build for Siri on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G and suggested users should be charged for a suggested fee of $20. Apple’s Engineers send a reply stating the same:
“we currently have no plans to support older devices,”
Apparently, their is a sense of confusion in this statement. If you are good at Law, you might go deeper down into the verses quoted above. Once you have done that, you will realize that the word “currently” doesn’t suggest the end of Siri on its older iPhone devices. Hence we can conclude that Apple currently doesn’t have any plans, but yet in future, it might have some. So lets just hope Apple plans out to bring Siri on its older platform before any hacker makes it official.
