Trout fishing is fishing suitable for most people. You don't need a boat, a depth locator, a guide, or any expensive fishing tackle. A lively trout is an experience to catch on your fishing rod. Also, it is a prized food fish. Trout fishing is a fresh-water sport, which is usually carried out on the river-shores, mountain streams, as well as in the great lakes.
When going trout fishing it is always important to use proper fishing tackle. Do not use too large and heavy fishing rods. It will destroy a lot of the experience and it will often make it difficult to introduce light spinners and lures. Fishing for small trout with a powerful fishing rod does not provide good experience. This can hardly be called sports fishing.
There is a lot of good fishing tackle available for those who enjoy fishing. The key is using light fishing rods of good quality, a fishing reel which works fine, and fishing line that is not too thick. Especially when fishing for trout in sunny weather with no breeze, it is important with small diameter line.
How do you catch trout? There are many different methods and a lot of fishing tackle to choose from. Try bait fishing, fly fishing, spinners, jigs and other minnow imitators. Remember to keep hidden and don't walk in the water when fishing.
Seasons and weather conditions affect trout fishing. In early April this sports fishing can be very good, especially in sites where the ice has broken up. The large differences in weather and climate make it difficult to come up with any general advice. As long as there is no ice, there will always be opportunities for regular trout fishing. Early summer and ice-free water will probably provide the best conditions for trout fishing, especially in smaller lakes in the mountains. Ice fishing, I will comment on in a separate article.
Weather conditions are important for all fishermen. As mentioned trout fishing with no wind in the blazing sun, will prove a major challenge. Rain or a nice breeze makes this fishing considerably easier. During difficult conditions, fly fishing will often provide the best opportunities for fishing. It may be advisable to limit your trout fishing to hours around sunrise and sunset in such conditions. If you experience a sudden weather changes, I would definitely recommend that you get to a fishing lake. I have several times experienced unusually good fishing in these situations. Trout fishing is a fun as well as challenging. I recommend everyone to try this rewarding sport fishing.
