When was the last time you played a round of golf ?
Here in Charlotte we are blessed with great seasonal weather and the opportunity to play golf every month of the year.
We have so many fun places to choose from. Most are public or semi-private (for newbies it means you can play without a membership). There are also some of the most exqusite private clubs here as well. I have been fortunate to play many.
There is a buzz in the air here, as the annual Quail Hollow Championship (formerly The Wachovia Championship), is set to kick off at the end of April. Placards, banners, and flags abound about our fair city. National television coverage will include CBS Sports and The Golf Channel .
This year looks to have a star studded field (as usual). Tiger Woods or the recent Masters champion Angel Cabrerra and last year's champion Anthony Kim, have a chance to raise the trophy. The competition will be electric. It's just a fun family event. It doesn't get any better than this for golf fans.
But I digress, back to local Golf Venues.
I recently played at a local course named Olde Sycamore (semi private). Green fees are very affordable and the course was in fantastic condition. Except for a couple bad swings, I was pleased with my game and look forward to playing there again. I'm not a scratch golfer but I like a challenge. What's fun living here in Charlotte, is that there are so many great places to play. You can do what my playing partners and I enjoy. We set up our own "mini tour", and rotate among the numerous courses here.
So if you think access to great Golf is part of your pre-requisites for considering any area, Rest assured Charlotte's cup runneth over with outstanding outlets for great golf.
Come to Charlotte and tee up some fun that lasts year round. And while you are here, let's check out some incredible house values that will make Charlotte your new place to call home.
