A woman's Role in the church is Multi dimentional, they are a tremendous asset to the body of Christ, with their uniquely gifted ability to get things done orderly, puts them in the league tableof prime workres in Gods harvest field.
Take a simple story from the book of 2 Kings chapter 4. here we find that A woman is a discerning believer. She demonstrated her concern for God's Servant, but in doing so, she did this with respect for her husband's authority and his leadership. She politely asks sincere council and carefully planed her next project management.
As with all the events and miracles in the life and ministry of a good woman, 2 Kings 4:8-37, illustrate and teach a number of very practical truths:
(1) It strongly illustrates the loving and providential hospitable care of God for all His saints: and he will use women as important instruments.
(2) It demonstrates God's involvement in the lives of others in all walks of life
(3) It also demonstrates the necessity of faith for everyone regardless of their social standing or financial position in life.
It illustrates, "the just shall live by faith, and "without faith it is impossible to please God."
(4) Another thing this passage demonstrates about faith is that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God" (Rom. 10:17). The faith of this woman and that of her husband was developed to a greater dimension. They receive a son a blessed compensation for the years of patiently praying and doing the work of the Lord.
The passage breaks down and centres around 2 key events: (a) The Shunammite woman receives a son (4:8-17) and (b) she received her son back from death (4:18-37).
At many funerals, we see women in stricken grief, taking the lead in sorrowful commitment, representing other members of the family, who are unable to attend for one reason or another; they first taste the salty tears having Bourne the inward pain.
So a Woman has a great part to play in the community of a church in far more greater capacity than we are led to believe, importantly, the thing to understand is that she will play a key part in all administration and spiritual department.
A woman has The Ministry in her community
8 Now there came a day when Elisha passed over to Shunem, where there was a prominent woman, and she persuaded him to eat food. And so it was, as often as he passed by, he turned in there to eat food. 9 And she said to her husband, "Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God passing by us continually. 10 please, let us make a little walled upper chamber and let us set a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he can turn in there."
A woman has the Ministry of Hospitality and Faith
This story primarily centres on this great woman of faith. There are four other actors in this drama-Elisha, his servant Gehazi, the woman's husband, and of course her son. But the central figure is this woman and her ministry of faith by which she showed hospitality to Elisha as a man of God. But the woman stands out in her role as a thoughtful beacon. A thoroughbred among women.
This illustrates again the prominent and important place women have in the Bible and in our churches today, where they enjoy great flexibility in God's work in the ministry. And in caring for their family.
The role of women is indispensable and they can have powerful ministries for which every man who loves the Lord will have great respect and appreciation. Men are very dependent upon the ministries of godly women in a multitude of ways. In the church.
"Where there was a prominent woman . . . this literally means "a great woman." of wealth, influence and character (1 Sam. 25:2; 2 Sam. 19:32), it also means "great in importance, a woman is the pinnacle of the community and can be great source for revenues
This woman was somewhat wealthy, and undoubtedly exercised a considerable influence by her spiritual perception and godly character. She was a great lady for a number of reasons-she was full of faith and good works and undoubtedly had a great deal of love and respect for the teaching of the Word.
Her godliness and respect is seen in her hospitality. To the servants of God As we see in these verses, she willingly opened her home to those in need. She extended her hand to the needy; she shared in the good things God had given her. She is a role model. A woman of virtue, a choice companion.
