This week it really dawned on me...
For months now I have been praying (Hoponopono healing) for
everything I encounter in my world... as often as I remember
to do it. According to this ancient Hawaiian healing technique,
we take responsibility for everything that we encounter in our world. Everything... no exceptions.
This concept of this responsibility may be difficult to grasp at first.
It is often misunderstood. We either tend to take on too much guilt for the suffering of others or else we deny the validity of the entire concept and regard it as none of our business.
When I heard the last CD of Abraham-Hicks this week (from Boca Raton), the ideology became crystal clear for me.
Abraham answers "Joe's" question (not his real name)about a problem he has with his electrician and expresses a desire to sue him over an issue.
Of course, suing would only attract "25 more of those situations" and it is really not the answer, explains Abraham. But changing the way you think about a person will change your own vibration and then change the person with whom you have the disagreement.
And this is when Abraham answers the fundamental question:
Can we change someone else?
"Yes, of course. You can transform the manner in which someone relates to you, and like everything else with the law of attraction, it is always 'outside' of you (or so it seems). The job, the circumstances, and the objects or situations you attract. Of course you have a direct impact on other things and people!"
And it was so clear cut, so simple. It suddenly made total sense.
I put the two and two together:
Being responsible for your world and being able to change your
world are two sides of the same coin.
The world "out there" is the mirror of our own inner world!
So of course we can take responsibility; it is our world!
And of course we can change it; It is our reality...our universe!
There is no guilt to feel. It is just a law... a mechanical, automatic event. The entire universe is a mirror!
It doesn't choose, it just reflects your thoughts!
Now, if you still think that you are limited to your skin, think again.
Look at your hand right now!
Imagine: you have lived all your life thinking you are the index finger.
You have been living from the index finger point of view, so you would naturally deny that you are also the thumb and the pinky!
But from a broader perspective you are all the fingers; you are even the entire hand, the body, the mind, and the universe.
It simply depends on how you define yourself: Are you the index?
The thumb? The hand ? Or the universe? It depends on you.
You choose!
But here is the catch:
When you begin defining yourself outside of your index finger,
you begin to be able to take responsibility for the other fingers
as well. You therefore begin to expand your ability to help
transform your world!
You reap the benefits of it! Big responsibilities, big rewards!
So when you are angry at someone, don't point the finger at them.
Begin to go and visit their inner world; it is yours. Discover
how they might be thinking about the situation.
You will be surprised at how easily you may step into someone else's shoes and begin to visit their thoughts and their own point of view.
And then it is time to pray, shift, or simply choose the better
thoughts ...the ones that will help you feel better and raise your own vibrations. (And theirs as well.)
If you want to follow a step-by-step system, I have one that
works very well:
Step 1: Shift how you feel about the person (change your thoughts, use the Q-Word, etc.) Beware: You need to be clear
before you attempt the next step!
It will simply be impossible to work through Step 2 if you are still
angry at someone. So finish step one thoroughly.
Step 2: Once you are clear, now it is time to move into "their" world. Let yourself feel how they feel about you. Then use your ability to shift vibrations by shifting what you perceive
as their thoughts. Use the Q-Word. (See my M-Power e-book in my online bookstore) or say a prayer to change your emotions/vibrations.
Then you will experience a peace within both "skins".
It will manifest as a major relief, as if the problem has
disappeared from your world, and suddenly it doesn't matter what
is happening "out there". It just doesn't exist for you anymore.
You will soon see a shift in your environment! The person may
suddenly become very pleasant, for no other discernible reason.
And then...it will dawn on you, too, that your world is simply a mirror of yourself!
