(Fri May 6th, 2011, by Serena Du)

Do You Know the Maternal Physiological Changes?

Maternal physiological changes: pregnancies reaction, overactive urine, the changes of breast and Hagar sign.

1 Pregnancies reaction

It usually begins since six weeks after stopping menses , often happens in every morning and can last for hours, at last it will disappear in menopause 6 ~ 12 weeks naturally. The expressions are that sick with/without an accompanying vomiting. In this period smell and taste are usually more sensitive than as usual, for example, cooking smells may also cause nausea and vomiting. It has a very image of English name, the so-called morning sickness of pregnancy, but at present the occurring mechanism is not clear. Most people think it is relevant with a high level of HCG, reducing gastric acid secretion and prolonged gastric emptying.

2 Overactive urine

In the first three months of pregnancy, overactive urine is caused because enlarged uterus oppresses bladder. From women's anatomy , uterus is located in the central committee, the front of which is bladder, the rear is the rectum. In the early time of pregnancy, uterine increases gradually, but the first performance that around diameter increase is more apparent. The enlarged uterus make an external pressure to the front of the bladder with stimulation, so that it make the pregnant women feel urine. Along with the progress of pregnancy, that is to say ,as the uterus goes into the abdominal cavity, overactive urine frequency gradually disappears. In addition, because the placenta secretion of the human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) can cause pelvic congestion, from which bladder also gets a boost .

3 The changes of breast

Primigravida relatively are more obvious than multiparous women. With the help of the estrogen and progestin, breast soon are starting to increase, while  there are usually painful feelings and breast fat start filling in it with new ductal hyperplasia, areola coloring, and growing normal small bumps, which is called grignard nodules.

4 Hegar sign

Although some pregnant women have reactionin in early pregnancy, body weight of pregnant women in this period only increase 1 to 2 kilograms, of which the fetus is only about 48 grams. The other weight gain comes from fetal growth to meet each organ system compensation as a mother, such as the weight of the placenta and amniotic fluid. If doing medical examination, the uterus can be found to increase with the corresponding month of menopause gradually. The uterus can be promoted to the abdominal cavity in 3 months of pregnancy, which can reach to the bottom of the uterus at the top of the pubic symphysis;the color of vaginal wall is purple; cervical coloring. There will be a feeling of a falace and cervical separation in 6 to 8 weeks after menopause, which is the Hegar sign.
