Even if you aren't one of those artsy aesthetics types you can be creative. It's a skill you can learn to use to your advantage to improve sales techniques and your sales results. All creativity involves is a thought process that produces ideas you can use to improve your desired outcomes. You will need a positive attitude to become creative, and you will need to be open to allowing yourself to be creative.
Get inspired by observing how resources are used in different ways in different industries. When something works well in another industry it may work well in your industry too. If you happen to be the first person to see this relationship you've just created a unique position in your market place.
Don't just focus on your sales experiences look to your experiences as a buyer to find creative ideas too. Start using every buying experience as a live learning lab to explore creative ideas. Take those experiences and determine what buying experience you could or you would want to create for your buyers?
It works just as well the other way too. What buying experiences have you lived through that you wouldn't want anyone else to ever experience? Would you stand to gain trust and rapport with your buyers if you assured them they'd never have this experience with you and then backed that up with your actions?
Who says buying can't be fun? Start collecting ideas from fun experiences and figure out how to incorporate those ideas into your marketing or sales experience. If you can make things fun you not only establish a great relationship with your buyers, but you'll find that they'll tell others about that experience making them want to have the experience too.
You have to believe in yourself to succeed in sales and to be creative. Give yourself a chance to be creative. Soon you'll find it's easy to be creative because you know your customers and you know your service. Knowing the big reason people buy will help you to connect that big reason with a creative idea that leads to increased sales.
Fear can kill your creativity. Is there a creative question you could ask that would get your prospects attention? Can you creatively position yourself setting yourself apart from the competition? Reach out and creatively connect with your best prospects. The tools below may help you to improve your sales techniques so you can become a top producer.
