Sometimes even good items simply don't sell. There can be several reasons for this, including:
- Poor choice of category
- Ineffective title
- Ineffective description
- No photograph or low quality photograph
- Starting price too high
- Bad luck
You can of course re-list items, and try to sell them second-time around. Sometimes your item might sell, but before you go ahead and do that, perhaps you should think about the following:
- Did you list your item in the best possible category?
...Perhaps you could experiment with listing your item in a different category
- Did your title work?
...Maybe your should try a different title
- What about your description?
...Have you described your item positively, but truthfully and accurately? Maybe you should improve the description? Perhaps you ought to think about your sales copywriting for the description?
- What about your photograph?
...If you don't have a photograph of your item, you ought to add one - and even if you have a photograph, does it show the item effectively? Review our photograph tips for some ideas.
- What about starting price?
...Maybe you should try a lower starting price to get the ball rolling?
