SE Optimization: Let Someone Else Write Your Website Content

(Sat Apr 23rd, 2011, by Mike Richalds)

If you are a small start-up business, you have lots of things that you need to do to keep up with your business.  You are working on advertising and publicity so that your business can be noticed.  You may be working on obtaining products or services at the best prices so that you can offer them to your customers.  If you are in a traditional business, you may simply want to increase your internet presence so that new clients can find you.

If you are this busy simply making your business work as it needs to, you probably don't have the time to spend working on your website.  You may have hired a company to create or update it so that it has a very modern look that will attract the kinds of customers that you need.   However, website designers usually don't include content as part of their package.

Content is a very important aspect of your website, because it keeps visitors on your site long enough for them to be interested in your products and services.  For instance, if you are a dentist, you will want information on the kinds of services you offer, your location, and the different types of insurance your office is able to accept.  In addition, Google and other search engines require your site to have plenty of content in order to recognize your site as being legitimate so that it will send some traffic there.  In order to get traffic to your site, you also need links to be created that lead back to your site.  These will need content with specific keywords to actually be on your site to link to.

All of this website content writing can be time consuming and even challenging to do.  This is why there are a number of content writing companies that are popping up on the web.  These companies will write your content for you based on the keywords that you provide.  Because there are a number of companies that offer this service, it is a good idea to get samples of the writing that you will be paying for.  Some of the companies that don't charge very much actually hire non-English speakers to do the writing.  This will cost less but the quality of the writing is usually low.  Look for a company that uses English speaking writers who pay attention to grammar and spelling if you want content that will improve your website.
