THE PREACHER/MINISTER/PASTOR
(What Does The Bible Teach About Preachers?)
Part 65: The Wrath of God Regarding False Prophets (Jeremiah 23:19)
Greetings Brethren,
Peace be unto you. It is written that those that love God know of His wrath. Beloved we are eternally grateful to our Father and to His son our Savior and for the Holy Spirit.
"Again John looked at what he saw. They came jamming and crowding the pulpits all manners of men and women with claims to be called by God. Often space and seats were limited thus when possible more chairs were added to accommodate the visiting preaches who looked say a word. As many lies we told, did they know God? Did they know of God's wrath? Do they believe in God? Can you believe in God and willfully disobey God time and time again?"

In the name of God, Master of the universe, Ruler of the earth
Jeremiah 23:19: "Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall grievously upon the head of the wicked." (Also see Jeremiah 30:23, 22-24. God used ancient Babylon to chastise the Jews. Her he predicts he overthrow of Babylon. Amos 1:14 here God seeks punishment on the Ammonites).
What we see in our primary verse and the two cross references is that God will punish he wicked. In Jeremiah 23:19 God specifically identifies church leaders who will experience His wrath for their corruption.
Beloved God is still in business. It is now big business (the church is not a business as many have come to note however were use this in a figurative sense) because countless churches have appeared upon the earth. God is still in business means that God is still in control. Therefore His wrath still exists. That reminds me you may want to be careful if you san d to close to some of the false Prophets.
Jeremiah 23:21: "I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied."
Brethren as you read and study the Bible one would think that the contemporary Preachers used the false Prophets of the Old and New Testaments as role models instead of Jesus Christ, the good Prophets and the Apostles.
At verse 21 Jeremiah teaches us that the bad Prophets were not sent by God. Thus they acted regarding personal interests and goals. In so doing they acted with no responsibility to the Lord. Sadly in 2006 the unsent man continues. Also many women claim God has sent them to head churches.
