It is election day! Americans have been having to listen to trash-talking, condescending, and belittling banter for way too long. Let's face it. As people go to the polls this morning some people are just down right bummed and others are excited. And when we awake in the morning half of the nation will be despondent and half excited. My bet is that Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh will not be in a happy mood. 

Me? I'll be happy either way for two reasons.

1-I voted Libertarian this year since neither Obama nor McCain see the world as I do.
2-My trust is in God so it really doesn't matter who sits on the political throne.

Seriously, our nation has drifted so far away from God and the church has drifted so far away from the Spirit of God that finding security in Father-Consciousness is more than difficult. The church must take the greatest responsibility because it IS the CHURCH that is called to lead us in spiritual matters. Unfortunately too many churches, too much of the church world, and too many pastors, minsiters, priests, and rabbis are more into material-physical things than spiritual growth and development.

Thus many who discovered the above paragragh have turned their attention to the government to provide direction. Government can't deliver spiritual needs. Hey, government can't even handle government. Can you spell FEMA?

Since it seems that we can't initiate a movement towards real spiritual life on our own, maybe it will take us getting in over our heads so that we're forced to seek ONLY GOD. Thnink maybe? Obama ius seen as our only HOPE. Get real! God is our only HOPE! We can't OVERLY trust in our own skills, government, or our jobs because they can't satify the inner CORE of our being- Spirit.

It is only in GOD that we can TRUST and that doesn't happen over night. It can happen though, when and IF we see the reality that we are first and foremost SPIRIT BEINGS- here trying to compehend our human condition(s). How's it working for you Phil?
