MILWAUKEE - After being laid off from her job as an events planner at an upscale resort, Jo Ann Bauer struggled financially. She worked at several lower-paying jobs, relocated to a new city and even declared bankruptcy.
Then in December, she finally accepted her parents' invitation to move into their home — at age 52. "I'm back living in the bedroom that I grew up in," she said.
End
I left home at 16 years of age with some change, a pocket knife, and dreams. I'm now 67, and not since that day have I slept in my parent's home. I'd sleep under a bridge before I'd let them or anyone else know that I was that irresponsible. However, Bush's leadership will reunite many American families. So, I guess he was right when he said he was a uniter, not a divider. What he didn't say was that many would be united at a grave site.
