Funny how George Bush is going to have a library named after him. For a man who shuns reading, naming a library after him is like naming Truth Institute after George W. Bush or a Peace Foundation after George W. Bush or a Battered Woman's Home after O. J. Simpson.
One wonders what artifacts and exhibits might be part of the George Bush Library. Or better name, George Bush LIEbrary.
There would little to really show there, except perhaps the cod piece from his USS Lincoln Landing, and the (redacted of course) documentation of his service in the National Guard.
Muddy boots and actual chain saw he used to clear brush (well, clearing brush photo op) at "The Prairie Chapel" would be on display.
And photos of him delivering the phony turkey in one of his secret surprise visits to Baghdad. Photo Shop might help in portraying a nonexistent victory parade in Iraq, with him riding in an open car waving and huge throngs of grateful Iraqis throwing flowers and sweets.
Perhaps that could be one of the displays in the "if the propaganda were true" wing. Of course be great quotations of The Decider on the wall, in big stick on letters... "Mission Accomplished" should be there, for sure. Because that has numerous meanings, and none of them is about Iraq.
Mission accomplished: packed Supreme Court with right wing zealots... Mission accomplished: tax cuts for the wealthy, of course...
Mission accomplished: dragged feet in the rebuilding of Democratic voting City of New Orleans (oh yeah, "Heckuva Job" would be another quote on the wall; it doesn't have to be about "Brownie", either)...
Mission accomplished: blamed all the post-Katrina chaos on Democratic mayor and governor...
A lot of missions were accomplished by this man, and the naïve write some of them off as George Bush blunders or George Bush gaffes. Not so. I'm afraid the guy did it all on purpose! Mission accomplished! Heckuva job!
