Most people don't believe that their lives are the result of their own actions. They see themselves as victims, having been accidentally thrown into a life that they didn't choose. They didn't "choose" their parents or the country they were born in. They didn't "choose" to be born without money or without the prettiest face on the block. Life seems unfair to them and full of bad people who are always looking to cheat and take advantage of everyone else. Does this attitude sound familiar to you? It should sound familiar because it is an extremely common attitude and probably makes up the majority of the way people think. For you, however, it doesn't have to be this way. There is another way to think and it is called optimism.
