Traffic exchanges present a great way for website owners to increase
the traffic which their website experiences. A traffic exchange is a
system whereby website owners sign up with a particular traffic exchange
site and visit other website owner's sites and will have their site
visited in return, thereby increasing website traffic. Some of these
sites are free to join whereas others are paid traffic exchanges. There
are two main types of traffic exchanges, auto and manual.
Auto Traffic Exchanges
The auto traffic exchange is one type of exchange utility. With auto
traffic exchanges, the individual viewing the information does not have
to keep clicking on different sites and the browser will automatically
refresh on its own. This allows the Internet user to collect traffic
exchange credits without really ever having to view the page. For this
reason, auto traffic exchanges are not the most frequently offered ones
as those who involve their websites in this type of exchange would
like to have their webpage actually viewed and not simply be part of an
automatic cycle.
Manual Traffic Exchanges
Manual traffic exchanges are the opposite of auto traffic exchanges.
Those who sign up for traffic exchanges which are available in manual
mode will not be able to automatically have their computer view webpages
of others. The individual viewing the webpage will have to go to the
webpage and view the information that is there. In order to obtain
traffic exchange credits, the individual needs to manually go to each
individual website and perform the required duties at that site.
Choosing Between the Two
When it comes to choosing an auto traffic exchange or manual traffic
exchange, the one which is more desirable really depends on which side an
individual is on. If the individual is the one who is doing the web
searching, they would most likely prefer the auto traffic exchange as
they do not have to perform manual functions in order to gain credits.
They could get the program going and then go do something else while
they are accumulating credits and not viewing the websites.
If the individual making the decision between the two types of traffic
exchanges is the website owner, he/she would ultimately prefer the
manual traffic exchange. The reason the website owner prefers the manual
traffic exchange is that individuals who are viewing the webpage will
actually have to manually view it and will therefore take in the
information along the way.
Conclusion
These two major types of traffic exchanges are both effective in their
own right. Although the manual traffic exchange may be more effective
as it requires the individual to sit there and view the webpage, the
auto traffic exchange works also. Just because an individual has access
to an auto traffic exchange does not mean that they will not do their
part and view the website.
