Shopping at home has become so much easier because there are more & more online stores popping up everyday, with such a wide variety of quality products, sales and coupons. Move over name brand products, there's competition in town!
A good online store is one that will supply you with a wide variety of different products all within one website, so you can make multiple purchases in one place; never having to leave that site.
Although you have to pay for shipping, think about the benefits of no store crowds with long lines, no searching for employees to assist you, and like a cop, you can never find one when you need one! Think of the benefits of not carrying a bunch of bags out to your car in bad weather or while you are walking around in an overcrowded mall!
Some of the other benefits of online shopping at private websites rather than big brand name sites is that there is always a way to contact someone via email or phone to ask questions that on average, produce almost immediate responses. Try getting a quick response from bigger name brand sites that are automated! Most private website owners check their emails quite a few times daily in order to respond quickly with good customer service. With privately owned websites, you can typically reach a live person via email and/or phone and won't usually have to go through an automated menu to reach someone.
Here are a few things you should be aware of when shopping at privately owned sites. A lot of them do not have their full product line on the site because they like to keep the site fresh by rotating products and sales. They will remove some products weekly or monthly to add new ones. Call or email the site owner and ask if they have a catalog that covers their full product line. Request that it's snail mailed out to you. Site owners will generally include some type of savings coupons or other promotions with the catalog and most will incur the shipping costs.
Most shoppers don't realize that they can bargain on prices with the site owner via email or phone. When you can find the same or very similar product at less cost else ware and can produce proof to the seller (like giving a website address) to where you found the product for less, they will play the haggle game with you in order to clench the sale.
If you don't see special offers or coupons on a website, email and ask if they can offer you a discount coupon. Let them know you saw products you like, but probably won't order unless you have a savings coupon that can be redeemed at checkout. Most site owners don't want to lose the sale, so they will email you a coupon code that's redeemable immediately!
By far, the best part of shopping at home is that you can be sitting down in a comfy chair, in your pajamas with a glass of wine or a cold beer and go shopping!
