Tencent, the opterator of China's only and most popular chat software QQ, was reported by a anti-virus software developer that it has spied all its users' PCs.
Most Chinese have at least one QQ account, and even some corporations use it instead of MSN. And its developer is Tencent which was said to have developed QQ software as a clone of ICQ. For the increasing of its user, QQ had become the only major chat software in China during the last 12 years.
Tencent is also infamed for its copying of huge buches of softwares from other companies. QQ is a copy of ICQ, and recently Tencent has added some new functions which were copied from Skype. Tencent released QQ Games 10 years ago which is a copy of China Online Games. After years of copying, Tencent release QQ Tang, a copy of Crazy Arcade BNB by Nexon in Korea, then released QQ Race, a copy of PopKart by Nexon in Korea. Tencent had also copied many other softwares, games, plug-ins, etc. Once something was becoming popular, Tencent copied.
Tencent almost has never developed anything of its own. This company is also notorious for providing the worst service and softwares and games at the highest prices. Its users have long been annoyed but cannot do anything for QQ has been too popular and every one in China who know how to surf online have a QQ account, and only QQ account.
Recently an anti-virus developer in China unveiled the fact that Tencent spys all its users privacy, including the info of their bank accounts, and this has been proved by many QQ users by testing. Many foreign anti-virus softwares including AVG, Sophos, Comodo, Prosess Monitor, etc. would sniff QQ as a dangerous spy software when they first landed in China, but then for the pressure they all discharge the alert on this software. |
