DIGNITY OF LABOUR
Labour, harwork, studious and being industrious all these records speaks clearly of doing work, and doing it well. It is however a continuous custom in society to avoid anything that spells W-OR-K. Look at the various methods people adopt to overcome in work, schools, business, politics, and church and in relationships. Everywhere you look there is a make belief world created by the youthful mind which neither sees obstacles nor the need to do any form of work aimed at improving their lives and that of society. This adopted by modern-day, holy wood-taught, fashion-crazy money-conscious youths who have also become football fanatics.
Can labour be evil? What do we stand to gain by indulging in labour and meaningful work? Who loses when work is termed old-fashioned. Succinctly, what is nature's stand on work and labour.
I believe everyone can remember the Darwin's principle which states "what you do not use: you do not need" in his theory, Darwin/Larmark emphasized the need for continuous use of our hands, legs, heads etc. he also showed how that the ostriches developed long necks by the use of their necks. It is also commonly known as what God did at the Garden of Eden and keep it"
This statement was made even before the face of man. By the wisdom of the Almighty God, the eternal one, whom the heavens of heavens cannot contain another principle was instituted - TILL THE GROUND FROM WHICH YOU CAME. I do not intend to draw religious bigots to a debate for now on such matters as this, so I wish the overall logic of any comments be clearly understood not contested. Let's go on -
I once heard the story of a caterpillar in its cocoon. It struggled to get free from its cocoon but it met the hard resistance of the walls of its captors (cocoon). A m an saw this natural process and decided to lend a helping hand to nature. He thought the butterfly must be suffering in that deplorable state. So he decided to let the caterpillar free. When he did, the caterpillar fell to the ground struggled for a few minutes and died.
Died! Oh yes. He was thrown into confusion. As he thought through his action and later found out that the caterpillar was made to struggle in that cocoon and by struggling the relevant body fluids that make up its wings could move to their positions and develop the strength and wings to make it a butterfly.
Hence the butterfly did not actually need deliverance but encouragement to go through that natural process.
Gold is tried; but by fire.
In business, be a positive thinker but do not always expect things to go your way. Do not cheat your customers or try to cut corners in order to satisfy your greed. You are wealthy or great not by the amount of physical resources you have but by the quality of the ideas you have. So work hard, work smart and work well. You will get there. See you at the top.
