Are you doing what you love? That is a very powerful question and one that deserves much thought. Most people would immediately think about their job, or career. This is a very great part of our lives, and many people spend more time at their job than with their family or other pursuits.

However what I want you to think about is the entire scope of your life. Your family, your recreation, your lifestyle, and yes your work as well. Do you have the time to do things you enjoy? Are your children or grandchildren strangers, or do you spend time having fun, and mentoring and teaching them values? Is your relationship with your spouse or partner happy and fulfilling in every area? Are you setting a good example for the people in your life, and do you have the quality of life you thought you would, when you graduated from high school?

Are you living a life you truly love? These are all questions that we avoid because they cause us to have to really look inside ourselves. We don't like finding fault with ourselves it is much easier to blame others for our lack, or our perceived problems.

However to truly be happy these are the most important questions you can answer. They should not be answered to quickly, but should be thought about, and the answers should come with great reflection of the past and thoughts toward the future. What were your dreams and goals? It is never too late to change directions select a different path and gear yourself to attaining your goals Start with one or two areas of your life and begin to form a plan and implement that plan.

Where most people fail is in the implementation of their desires or dreams. The plan is not as important as doing something about changing your direction to reach your goals. Remember to start slow, it is important to reach each one and savor the moment, like you have just won the race.

If you are unhappy in your relationships, you need to figure out where the problem is and then take steps to fix it or if it cannot be fixed then get out of it. It may just be many small things that create irritation and by looking at each one of these separately you may realize that in fact as I have on occasion the real problem is that I deviated from the path of my goals and dreams. When you can wake up in the morning and not groan but smile a secret smile, you are well on your way to that life you love. You will find that you have more time. Time to spend on things you love, or with the people you love. You will have enough money, to live well and persue the other things that make you happy. These may be houses, cars, travel, or just the freedom that you can be yourself.

You can have the life you love. Reach for it, you may have to take a few side roads on the way but you are the driver. You and only you can make the commitment to cross the finish line in love with life.
