Marketing: Google Adsense Terms of Service - 3 Ways To Get Banned

(Tue May 17th, 2011, by Dario Montes de Oca)

Google asks people who partner with them to adhere to the Google TOS for whatever program in question. Adsense has become an easy way for webmasters and marketers to monetize their website or blog. But in order to get the most out of it, there are a few mistakes that need to be avoided. Today, we'd like to dicsuss three particular kinds of Adsense mistakes so you'll know how to prepare well. Also take your time to read about free backlinks.

Do not declare your Google Ads to be alternate ads. Some advertising services (like Chitika) allow you to choose alternate URLS when your targeted ads are not displayed. Here you only have to build a simple HTML page and put an ad that you want to be displayed instead. AdSense is the same in this regard and will allow you to choose an alternative URL when you do not want to show public service ads. Just make sure that you aren't using the AdSense ads for your alternates. This is not allowed in the Google terms of service.

It is also important to note that you aren't allowed to put AdSense ads in e-mails. While it is a fact that is the HTML e-mails look good and do allow the insertion of such ads, it is not allowed by Google's terms of service. You don't want their logs to show that people are clicking ads from e-mails that you've sent. This will only make your account vulnerable to being banned permanently. If you want to make money from the e-mails you send, include affiliate links and links to products that you are selling on your own. If you liked this article so far, you'll enjoy the topic of backlink software.

Last but not the least; you shouldn't place your ads on pages like your registration page, "thank you" page, or any other page that doesn't have relevant content. Let's be honest: advertisers want to pay money on ads that will be displayed on pages that have targeted content. This is because good content will obviously lead to better ads.

So, unless your page has a good amount of well written content do not put your AdSense ads up.

To sum up, these tips clearly show you how to stay within the rules set up on the Google TOS if you want to run AdSense on your website or blog. When you read them carefully you'll find that most of the rules aren't all that hard to follow and can actually help you earn more money. Take your time to read about SEnuke X.
