When I first got involved in Network Marketing I never anticipated how the negativity of others would affect me. A lot of people would also have the same experience, and it usually comes from friends and family.
What are you doing that for? You will never make any money? You will loose all your friends?
The problem is that people still judge Network Marketing now the same as it was 20 or more years ago. If everything else in our life has changed don't you think the Network Marketing has also?
In the 1980's people who got in to Network Marketing had to be good sales people as that was where most of the money was generated. They also had to buy a lot of product to keep on hand in case they ran out Most of their customer lived near by which limited their customer base. Some people bought a lot of product which they had problems selling for one reason or another, so they gave up and hence lost money.
This model was good for people who were gifted sales people. The rest were soured by their failures so they blamed it on Network Marketing. It doesn't work, and they made sure they told everyone to stay clear. If that was the fact it makes you wonder why some of these Network Marketing companies are still around today and flourishing.
A modern successful Network Marketing business uses both online and offline marketing strategies.
To be successful you do need to only take valuable advice. If they have not tried it themselves then how can they advice others. If they did try it did they really give it a chance or did they just give up when it got a bit hard.
I deal with negativity is this way. They don't pay my bills, the dream stealers I mean and until they do which will be never I don't care what they think. It's been said that out of all the people that know you 95% of people don't care what you do, so why worry about what they think.
The other thing is that I only take creditable advice. Advice from people who are where I want to be. They are successful and I want to match their success.
Would you take financial advice from your local mechanic? Or would you get advice about how to fix your car from your banker? Everyone is willing to give you advice if you ask them, just be careful who you ask if you intend to take action.
Also you need to realize is that you are offering people an opportunity that could chance their lives for the better. Give them all the facts and then if they are not interested, that's ok. If you owned a jewellery store would you give up if you did not get a sale from everyone that entered your store? Somehow I think not, so how is this any different
.
Never hassle people to join. Remember, NO's are good they qualify your prospects. You only want to sponsor people with your belief and vision. Would you rather have 10 ambitious people of would you prefer 100 that do nothing, complaining to you about it, and then leave?
With a clear focus on your goals and the right mindset you can easily master the negativity of others.
If you still have problems with negativity from people a good way is to do all your prospecting online, this way you came remove the fear factor of person contacting. The internet is a powerful way of promoting your Network Marketing opportunity if it is done the right way.
