MLM Coaching seems to be gaining in popularity over the past few years. I think this is sad, very sad. When I get a request at our office for coaching, it tells me that somebody has an upline that should be ashamed!
I turn down over 60% of the people who request our coaching services. The reality is you probably don't need a coach; you probably just need specialized training. There are courses that you can invest in that will do you a lot more good than spending time with a MLM Coach.
I usually send people to a specific course and tell them after the go through the course if they feel they still need a coach to call me back.
When I ask people why they think they need a coach, I get a wide variety of answers.
I need to learn how to recruit, I need to learn how to get my team active and productive, I want to learn how to generate leads for my business, I want to learn how to recruit with postcards and direct mail, are the most common responses to that question. My response, you don't need a coach, you need a course.
Search out specific MLM Training Tools and Programs BEFORE you attempt to hire a coach. Network Marketing is a simple business when you focus on mastering one skill at a time. Network Marketers confuse themselves when they start trying to learn the wrong skills at the wrong time. You shouldn't attempt to learn Algebra until you master addition.

If you do decide to hire a network marketing coach, make sure that they have a proven success record. Unfortunately in today's network marketing world there are a lot of people that are trying to teach you how to do that which they have never done. I am absolutely shocked at the number of people who call themselves a coach, not because they have had success, but because they have taken a "How to Coach" class.
