I've been woodworking as a hobby for over ten years and came across an eBook A Beginners Guide to Woodworking that I found pretty interesting so I bought it. I spent a few nights reading the book before bed and even a veteran like myself learned a few new tricks.
My first impression was it was laid out very nice, it was packed full of very useful information and photos and it had lots of tips and tricks which I like. The writer over all did a great job and spent some time writing the book for both the beginner and the seasoned veteran.
Topics in the book covered everything from types, properties and grains of wood, power and hand tools to assembly and finishing your projects.
There is a section in the book covering woodcarving and the tools needed, clamping, different types of joints and how to make them, how to choice the proper wood glue for any project and much more.
If you are new to woodworking or even if you've been doing it for years I recommend this book. The book cost me $19.97 and you also get as a bonus "HOW TO BUILD A SIMPLE, STURDY WORKBENCH FOR YOUR HOME-BASED WORKSHOP" for free. Not a bad deal, but that's just my opinion. Check it out for yourself.
