Japanese knotweed is one of the most invasive weeds to be seen in Scotland and the UK
so much so that it is an offence to plant or cause Japanese Knotweed to grow. It spreads
extremely quickly preventing native vegetation from growing whilst posing a risk to
properties as it can exploit weaknesses to buildings, foundations, concrete and tarmac.

is something you want to be able to do due its extreme growth if Japanese Knotweed goes
unidentified for a long period of time it will be harder to remove from your property.
