This christmas, a lot of children, aged 8 and up will get the latest in toy robotics, the Ugobe's Pleo Dinosaur. This 'toy' will most likely be the most advanced piece of electronic you have in your home.
But what is this toy?
Well, it is the latest in home robotics. A little dinosaur that is approximately 1 week old when you adopt it. It is very fragile and easy startled when young but in time it will grow up mentally. It will master a lot of different situations as it remembers previous situations that are alike.
It will learn to understand you and recognize you. Ugobe's Pleo Dinosaur will interact with you in a way that you didn't think were possible. If you play with it it'll be a great playmate.
Just like any other 'pet', the Ugobe's Pleo Dinosaur has various moods, it may be sad but also happy and playful. If you are angry and shout at it, it will know that you are angry.
We've seen many robotic animals such as the Furby, Robosapien and Sony's Aibo, but this Pleo sounded like a whole different kettle of fish. Err, dino.
Ugobe's Pleo Dinosaur goes through a series of evolution and each pleo dinosaur is unique. If you treat it bad you'll get a nasty little critter...No Joke!
Stereo hearing, skin sensors and even visual object tracking with edge detection ensures you don't just have a Furby on your hands.
For everyone interested it has a mini-USB port and a memorycard holder.
