As many of you may have noticed, there are four lights surrounding the power button on your Xbox 360. When these light up in red that is the first sign that you have a problem. A common problem that has been seen with the Xbox 360 is when three of the four lights come on. This seems to be the most common problem and it indicates a general hardware problem. What happens form here is that you will find that your consoul now freezes up, and you are forced to pay out up to a couple of houndred dollars to get it fixed.
Usually the three lights indicates that your system has overheated and there is a good chance that something within the machine has now broken because of this. This is a very common problem that has affected so many machines. All of a sudden, this $400 gaming system has become a $400 paper weight.
The worst part about all this is that micro Soft will charge you around $150 to fix the hardware problem that it created by not making these products right to begin with. Here are just a few things you can try before sending this machine back to Microsoft.
1. Turn the machine off and then back on - this is an obvious thing to try, but sometimes letting it sit in shut off mode for a few minutes can help it out
2. Move the machine to a more open space - Purhaps the machine does not have enough air flowing through it. These machines are very fragile and quite tempremental so it's very improtant to keep them in an open area and not locked up in a storage unit on your entertainment stand.
If neither of these things work, check your manual to see how to contact Microsoft, or you can look to purchase online a book on how to fix this yourself. From what I have heard, these are very easy to fix, and you can do practically for free what Microsoft is going to charge you $150 for.
