Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians (COPCP) has implemented remote access solutions in order to connect to their network all physicians and other staff 24x7. This is especially important to connect physicians that stand outside of COPCPs network granting them access to health records and other information that otherwise wouldnt be available.
COPCP is an health care provider founded in 1996 by 33 physicians. The organization has 215 medical practitioners among them family physicians pediatricians endocrinologists and infection disease specialists serving over 325000 patients in 47 locations. Remote access allows these medical physicians who are outside the internal network doing rounds or are visiting partner hospitals to connect and have access to medical records in a secure and fast way. The problem was that hospitals dont like software being installed on their machines that is not used within their own infrastructure and I dont blame them. However it was a challenge for us to allow our physicians to connect he added.
