Wearing nothing but Nicola's Cage's jacket! Which he apparently took right out of Nicolas' closet.
According to KNBC (NBC4 Los Angeles) Nicolas was staying in his Waterfront Bay Shores home, off Pacific Coast Highway, previously owned by John Wayne! On Monday evening around 1 am, Nicolas awoke to find a man, (according to Fox News the man was standing in front of Nicolas' bathroom) in his house wearing nothing but Nicolas's jacket. Nicolas apparently told the man to take it off, and escorted him off his premises, calling the authorities to pick him up.
The police reportedly found the San Pedro man's car, and the only article of clothing they found was a pair of sweat pants.
According to Fox news, the man's name is Robert Dennis Furo Jr, 45. Mr. Furo plead not guilty to a burglary charge, and is apparently still in jail until a $50,000 bond is paid.
Reportedly police Lt. Craig Fox was investigating the case. The police have not established a motive, nor have they determined the state at which the man was in during the time of the break-in. They are however, confident that all the proper procedures were followed.
Robert Dennis Furo Jr is scheduled to attend a hearing on Oct 10th. Furo, could face up to six years in the state prison if convicted. Farrah Emami from the Orange County Superior Court, State Prosecutor's said. A call to the county public defender's office, which was assigned to represent Furo, was not immediately returned.
It must have been a scare for Nicolas Cage to awake in the middle of the night, to find a naked intruder in their beach house, as his wife and young son were reportedly sleeping upstairs, and it hasn't been determined how long the intruder was in their home.
However, he must be relieved that he caught him, and dealt with it quickly!
