If you want to quickly build a list and you are prepared to spend some money on advertising you should seriously consider using ezine ads which can result in hundreds of new subscribers being added to your auto responder within a matter of days.

Because you are building a list you will need to offer a free gift of some sort to actually get people to visit your squeeze page and subscribe. This gift can be a free report or ebook that you have written yourself or have purchased the resale rights or private label rights to.

Most people who advertise in ezines are selling products and services so the subscribers are used to being directed to sales letters. This will give you an advantage because when you offer something for free it will stand out from the other adverts and you will most likely get a sudden surge of new subscribers to your list.

One reason why advertising in ezines can be so effective is because the subscribers are used to receiving email messages on a regular basis. The advantage of this is that they will be unlikely to opt out of your list as long as you keep providing them with quality information that they find useful.

So all you have to do is find a few ezines that sell advertising and make sure that they are related to the topic of your list to achieve the best response. Then you just need to write a short advert that directs people to your squeeze page and make sure that you use a headline that grabs their attention so that they actually open your email.
