Q: Why is my gecko turning white?
A: Geckos turn white when they are getting ready to shed. This happens because their dead skin has begun to dry up and is starting to peal off of their bodies, thus the skin appears white. (more info in shedding chapter)

A: Gecko's feel cold because they are cold blooded, thus when handled they will feel cold to the touch.
Q: Should my gecko have bumpy skin?
A: Yes, all leopard geckos should have bumpy skin; it is part of their genetic make-up.
Q: My gecko has funny fingers, is this normal?
A: Yes, all leopard geckos have funny looking fingers, this is perfectly normal.
Q: Is it normal for my gecko to have a fat tail?
A: Yes, it is perfectly normal for a leopard gecko to have a fat tail. The reason for this is that leopard geckos store all of their unneeded fat in their tales. However if your gecko has a very slim tail, this could be a sign of bad health.

A: Its not that geckos can't walk, it's that you just don't see them walk. The reason for this is that leopard geckos are nocturnal which means they will do all of their activities during the night.
