How is it scored?
Scoring is based on your:
* Verbal Score (200 to 800 points)
* Math Score (200 to 800 points)
* Analytical Writing Assessment (0 to 6 points)

When is it held?
* The test is held five days a week (Monday through Friday), twice a day.
* September to December is the peak season for taking the GRE Test.
* If you intend to sit for it during this period, you need to register yourself 90 days in advance, in order to get a date of your choice. Even otherwise, you need to register yourself at least 15 days in advance.
* The Test lasts for around three-and-a-half hours, and is generally held either during the morning session at 9 A.M. or in the afternoon, at 2 P.M.

Where is it held?
The ETS has appointed Testing Agencies in India and they function as franchisee for ETS. The tests are held in nine centers across the country, and include Ahemdabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
