ECommerce: The value of a Unique Selling Proposition

Take note that it is important to have a USP or unique selling proposition.  Be aware that this is one of the many critical elements an online firm needs to have. If you have no unique selling proposition, you are essentially one of the "me-too" companies which are attempting to sell what every one is already selling.If there is nothing that can make you stand out, it is highly likely that you will not stay long in business. This is very much true if there are tons of companies you are constantly competing with. If you have something which will make you be a stand out, you will then be able to charge money compared to what most firms charge.

Be aware that simply having a unique selling proposition is not sufficient. You could make your USP work to your most excellent advantage using the below suggestions:

Mention your most powerful promise

If you have a USP, you need to always show and be your best. Doing so helps you be a stand-out. Generally, your unique selling proposition must revolve on your product's main benefit. As much as possible, do create a guarantee which no other product could match. A few examples of this include a double-money-back guarantee if ever one does not feel satisfied with a product. Essentially, try to know what your customers are looking for. After which, create a unique selling proposition that meets such a need more than anyone else.

Concentrate on your customer

Remember that your unique selling proposition must not be about your company. Basically, it needs to be something that will provide your customers benefit. Take note that prospective customers are not at all concerned with the number of years your firm is in existence. What they need to know more is what the product you are offering will do for them.

Promote, promote, promote

Remember that if you do not properly promote your unique selling proposition, what is the use of having one?  As much as possible, your USP needs to be the main message of your ads.  If you can, always pronounce the USP at least once in your ad's headline. This ensures that it has the most effect. Do not forget that a USP will provide you with more business. If you provide more value, the more money you can charge.
