I've been interested in learning about affiliate marketing for some time now. And after a year of thinking it over, ho-humming around, and looking at different ebooks, I finally took the plunge and purchased Rosalind Gardner's "Super Affiliate Handbook." And I'm very glad I did. This amazing woman, with no internet experience at all, started promoting other people's products online: she now makes $30,000 - $50,000 a MONTH from affiliate programs. And she's helping other stay at home moms (and anyone else) who wants to make a living from the comfort of their own homes. I'm not a stay at home mom; I have two jobs but I'm focused on changing that so I can work for myself someday and be financially successful. And I see affiliate marketing as a great way to do that.
Here's what Rosalind says about her life before she became an affiliate marketing expert, "For 20 years before starting my Internet business, I worked for the government, as an air traffic controller. I knew I wasn't going to make it to retirement in that occupation. The crazy shifts were making me sick, so I had to do something to secure my future so that I could quit before the job killed me." That sounds like me: tired, burnt out, and not a whole lot saved for retirement.
A short time after she discovered affiliate marketing, she quit her job. Rosalind says, "Two years after I started to 'play' with web sites, I quit my job as an air traffic controller. Only two years - and that was without any specialized affiliate marketing training... Since I quit my day job as an air traffic controller in 2000, I've earned 100% of my income online. In 2002, I earned a whopping $436,797 US in affiliate commissions (then worth $657,801 CDN). Now, in 2007 I earn much more than that as an affiliate!" When I read this, I got a huge surge of hope for my own future. As a divorced woman without children, I'm afraid my future will hold cats and a grocery cart full of my belongings. Yicks!!!
Some of the great information I got out of "Super Affiliate Handbook." (and this is just some of it because its a BIG book with LOTS of great information on how to succeed in affiliate marketing) includes:
* "How To" strategies to save you money, time, and effort while building your affiliate marketing business.
* Get an easy-to-understand 5-step overview of the business-building process.
* Discover the top 25 mistakes that 'normal' affiliates make, and how to AVOID them.
* How to create a web site that keeps visitors coming back for more.
* 29 ways to market your affiliate sites online and off.
* Why you must stay away from the 'flea market' approach to Internet marketing.
* How to assess a market for profitabilty.
* Discover which products are actually sold online.
* Learn which programs to avoid and when to drop others.
* Where to find free software that saves both money and time.
* Discover exactly which qualities and actions set super affiliates apart from their less productive counterparts.
The Super Affiliate Handbook also has loads of charts and screenshots that help explain the techniques and tools she uses to create her million dollar internet empire. There are screenshots from some of her most profitable sites including Sage-Hearts, her incredibly successful dating-review website. This is not someone who just knows about internet marketing, she's been there and done it, and made a six-figure income from it.
Rosalind also covers tons of other stuff that I won't go into because there's way too much information for me to cover here. Take a look for youself to see what Super Affiliate Handbook is all about.
There are some things that I didn't like about the ebook. For one, there are a lot of spelling errors, and as an editor of a newspaper that made me cringe every time. Another aspect I thought was a waste of time was the section covering keyboard shortcuts and how to organize computer files. I skimmed over those to get to the good stuff.
I finished reading the book in two evenings, even though its over 200 pages long. Its a good read, I like her writing style, and she's great as explaining everything and showing screenshots of the more complicated stuff. She even takes you step-by-step through setting up your own blogging site to start making money right away. I really need that kind of help, having no experience with blogging yet.
Overall, I think this book is great for anyone wanting to learn about affiliate marketing and looking for a ray of hope for the future. I highly recommend this downloadable ebook. To learn more about this career-changing book, click here now.
