One of the highest paying aspects of writing for the purposes of Internet Marketing is copywriting. This however is not without good reason since the copy will be the ultimate deciding factor in whether your visitors become buyers or not.

The sales page will be the last thing people see before they either buy or leave your site for good. Even on squeeze pages, the writing itself will make the difference between having a successful sale and just giving away another item to get another name on yet another list.

If the money really is in the list, which history has shown that it is, than this is not necessarily a bad thing right? In fact, many people would consider this to be a great occurrence on their path to "ultimate" success. However, while it is a good thing, it could still be better as well and good copywriting can make that difference between just building your list and having a successful sale and promotion.

Building a list is a very important part of Internet Marketing but making sales really is the bottom line and what will ultimately determine whether you can make a living or just earn a little extra for the weekend.

Fairly well-written copy that is average in nature will usually result in conversion rates somewhere between one-half to one and one-half percent. Good copy will average somewhere in the range of three percent and if you can consistently break four percent conversions, you are doing quite well.

Anyone who is capable of producing copy that averages five percent or better can pretty much write their own ticket and name their own price. While it takes a lot of work and skill to master copy-writing, it can be very rewarding in every sense of the word.

Not everyone is going to have what it takes to be a master copy writer but if you are willing to work with your clients you can often strike up deals with them and still get work. Offering to work with them until they reach a certain percentage of conversions is probably the most popular method of doing this. Be prepared to receive critiques both well-deserved and insulting. People are never going to see things the same way.

Copy writing is one of the best paying aspects of Internet Marketing for a reason. If you have your own materials to work with, you are already one step ahead of the game. Most people do not want to use their products or their resources as a testing ground for your ideas.

Be prepared to write, be prepared to make changes and be prepared to be criticized and when you are done, you can prepare to reap the rewards for a copy writing job well done.
