Irresistible Internet copywriting becomes very resistible if you don't present the price properly.
Internet shoppers are bargain hunters. When they are searching for something from the comfort of their home, they are mostly just sight seeing. In order for Internet copywriting to be irresistible you need to "catch them off-guard".
"Catching them off guard" is a very subtle art. If you do it properly your sales will go through the roof. You can get away with not doing it very well and still make good sales by following the steps outlined here. But if you can catch the spirit of the idea and do it right you will see exponential rise in sales.
If you have built your sales letter properly, by now you would have caught their interest right from the beginning. Then you would have built up their desire, justified with features and reiforced the credibility of your offer with testimonials. Now it's time to start closing the sale.
In step one of the process you need to take each of the benefits and start to put a dollar figure on it. Add it all up to some monumental level so the reader realizes that they will get a huge benefit from the purchase. Say that "you won't charge them that much".
The next step is to take all the features and put a dollar figure on each one of them. Compare with other suppliers for each feature, not the product itself, if it applies. Add it all up and again show that the number becomes huge.
The third step is to make a pseudo offer. Here you take the number you generated from the features list and drastically slash it down. Now you treat this like a real offer and justify the price by doing comparisons and by emphasizing the great value they are getting.
Next you summarize all the features and benefits and show them what a great bargain your pseudo price is.
Finally, when you get to the ordering part you slash the price in half or two thirds of what the pseudo price was. This is the "catching them off guard" part. Since you have been spending so much time justifying the pseudo price, people will think that is the real price. But when you drastically slash that price and make it a limited time offer the deal will become truly irresistible.
It might take some practice to be able to deliver all the parts so the end becomes a surprise, but if you can pull it off your sales will break all records.
One other thing to keep in mind in crafting irresistible copywriting is to keep the font size of the price the same as the other type on the page. If the price is too easy to find people can easily pre-judge the value by simply looking at the price.
