Autos: Protect yourself in the cab of your pickup with a louvered contractor rack

(Mon May 23rd, 2011, by JF Cost)

Aluminum Contractor Rack by Husky

If your vehicle of selection is really a pickup, then you owe it to it and yourself to keep things safe and secure. Whatever you are hauling back there, you genuinely will need to protect your cab and back glass from shifting cargo by outfitting your truck with an Aluminum Contractor's Rack.

These specialty racks look like Rear Window Louvers, mounted on a Rail Rack. They cover the back window of the pickup. They're produced from heavy duty metal to secure all that gear back there, and keep it from crashing into your area! Given that most loads stack or stand above the truck bed sides, they pose a significant prospective danger should you need to hard brake quickly, or even worse, ram into something! That sudden stop can send the contents of the bed hurtling through the back glass of your truck and right in to the cab. With you. Or worse - into you!

Furniture, tools, appliances, developing supplies, firewood, cut timber or branches, bricks, blocks, and lake toys can all thrust some significant harm onto the inhabitants inside the cab! If think about it, this is the same reason we now have seat belts and infant seats in our autos. To keep things and folks from projectiling through the windows. Practically nothing very good can possibly ever come from such an occasion!

Take a constructive hint - haul your load safely - and install one of those Contractor Racks right now!!  You'll find that the majority of them on the market today are designed and manufactured to fit your truck specifically. Sweet. This sure tends to make installation, and even removal, a much simpler chore, and they offer you a lot of possibilities with regards to hauling distinct size / shape loads. Most are created from a tough aircraft grade aluminum, with some type of rust proof finish. This translates to a rack that can maintain its good looks and it strength for decades! Or at least as long as you own the truck!

The louvered style with the rack also serves as a nice "sun-break" to keep the hot summer sun off your back - and also keeps your visibility out the back window intact. All excellent additional reasons why adding one of these to your rig makes great sense, and helps keep you, and much more importantly, your passengers protected from flying objects. Speaking of Flying Squirrels, I am reminded of how Bullwinkle always said to Rocky, "now here's something you'll REALLY like!"  Well, here's something that just makes good sense, guys!
