Whenever you think of a junk yard you immediately think of a large area that does not smell that good and have large piles of unorganized garbage lying around. In previous times it was exactly like this but since recently this has changed. The smell isn’t so bad and the piles of garbage is still the same in some places but one thing for sure is that the piles are well organized so that whenever a customer wants a part they know exactly where to find it without having to search that far.
They also now have where the parts are placed in databases that can’t only be accessed by not only the owners of the junk yard but also other junk yards in the area surrounding it. In South Carolina they also have where these databases can be viewed over the internet by the general public. This can aids them in finding the part before they go out and visit that junk yard. The can also know what price range the part that are looking for is in and what condition they may be able to get it in. Junk yards can be very profitable especially if the parts that you are selling are mostly from vehicles that the owners no longer want. With them doing this they can sell the newer parts for a much higher price than the older ones. When you purchase your parts from a junk yard instead of going to the dealer you save a lot of money as the dealer themselves by the parts from the junk yards and sell it at a higher price so that they can make a profit. If you’re worried about what happens if the part doesn’t work as it should then you can find a junk yard that offers warranty with the part.
