Advice: I Wish I Could Quit My Job

(Sat Aug 14th, 2010, by Andres garcia)

Its a Sunday the day is almost gone and the weekend is almost over, then you begin to get that funny feeling because you know that you have to go to work tomorrow, the later it gets the more you get that feeling that i could only describe as "dread". By the time its time to go to bed, the stress of work start to come over you with a vengeance, you can't even begin to think of quitting because the economy is down and you're lucky to even have a job.

Maybe someone in your job is causing you distress, or maybe the work is too stressing. Jobs seem to be picking up and the unemployment rated are going down, but the funny thing is that if you where to search "I hate my job" on google you will find about forty four million search results on that very word.

Over the years i found my self searching on the Internet "I hate my job" and i picked up some words of wisdom from the people who were going through the same thing. One of the first tips that i picked up is don't quit your job, remember that first day on the job? There was a good reason that you took this job right? The truth is you were happy to even have a job, maybe you even celebrated with some brews huh? So try to get back that love that you had for that crummy job.

Its probably not so hard to get the love back, maybe there is a person who gets under your skin, if this is the case with you then ask your self "Why am i giving this person so much power"? Well maybe he or she might have the power at your job or even be higher in the totem pole than you are, but always remember that they were also in your position in some time of their life.

Maybe you can set a goal to get a higher position in your work place, its doable, just start working smarter than anyone else. If you think about it most of the people you work with are very unproductive and you can surpass them easily, or maybe you work in a dog eat dog job where everyone is striving towards that position, then just move on to a different job with less competition. So remember next time you go to work, that you will put in all the effort you can into doing better because you are doing this for you.
