This may be the stumble block for a lot of newbie Internet Marketers. Many experts are saying that, by following THEIR way, traffic will find its way to any website. Is this really the case?

First of all, why do we need traffic? Does it mean that without traffic to our sites, we will never be able to sell?

Let me explain in simple steps: -
1. More traffic means more exposure of your website to others.
2. More exposure means more chances that people will notice your website (and thus your product) and ultimately, more chances to convert traffic to sales for your product.
3. And if your product is good, more people will promote your website (plus product) to other people (this is what I call Word of Mouth marketing) and more traffic will come.
4. At the end of the day, you will be converting this traffic to sales of your product in no time.

However, many Internet Marketers give up after trying to get traffic to their site. They had done what was taught (by books, Internet Marketing Gurus and etc) but traffic is still way below the radar scan of site tracking website like Alexa.

(Alexa is a website that determine how popular that site is. Any site that is ranking of 100,000 or lower will be inside their graphs. This is a pretty neat way to understand how good/popular your site is.)

As mentioned, not many Internet Marketers' website make it to their graphs and there could be many explanations for that: -

1. Your website is still new. Many crawlers, robots still have not found their way to your website.
2. You did nothing on your website! Therefore, no one will even know it exists.
3. Your advertising campaign is not strong enough to draw in the traffic.
4. Your website does not have keywords that search engines are particularly attracted to.
5. Your product does not interest the general Internet users.

I guess there are many other reasons, which I will not go on.

As you may have noticed, there was no mention of any words that states: -

1. You are unlucky.
2. You are born to not to be an Internet Marketer.
3. You are not born with this kind of lifestyle
4. You are not blessed and therefore you will never succeed.

Frankly speaking, these are excuses. Everyone can do it but not anyone knows how to do it.

Internet Marketing is a very disciplined kind of business. Confused? Because you had heard tons of people saying that you can take up this kind of business as a sideline to supplement your monthly wage and even do it in your spare time.

Again, if you read carefully, I mentioned DISCIPLINE. I did not mention anything about taking a lot of your time for this business. The keyword here is DISCIPLINE. Just a couple of hours of your free time and that is it!

Traffic doesn't come easy. It has to be planned and it WILL NOT be instant. So, how can we bring in the traffic?

Follow these few steps: -

1. Write in your blog daily on your current activities or discuss on topics relating to your product. (20 minutes)
2. Advertise with a daily budget of $5. (10 minutes)
3. Build keywords with Keywords website daily. (30 minutes)
4. Post 10 posts in niche forums daily. Remember to contribute and at least use your signature with your website as a form of promotion. (30 minutes)
5. Submit to Article Websites (e.g. EzineArticles) daily with good quality original articles. (30 minutes)
6. Review your Advertising Statistics daily. (15 minutes)
7. Review the results of your daily effort. (15 minutes)
8. Repeat Step 1 to Step 7 for 100 days.

You see. You need lots and lots of discipline to do the above. I guarantee that you will be able to see results if you follow this steps diligently. And as I had mentioned earlier, you don't need a lot of time to do the above daily (estimated about 2.5 hours)

Can you spare those 2.5 hours of your time daily? I am sure you can!
