How shall the black people - that is African and African American people benefit from having Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America – the role that makes Brack Obama the president of the entire world in terms of the wealth, influence and power the President of the United States wields all over the world? Barack Obama is a pure black man. How is he a pure black man considering that he has a white mother? I raise these questions to dispel some deliberate myths. So let us go through some painful details to answer these questions.

Culturally and biologically a child belongs to the father. Culturally the world over in every human society the mother of the child is insignificant, it is the father who is key in the union between male and female. And eventually the name of the female person is swallowed up by the male in a union, and the children take the identity and name of their father. That is culturally accepted norm in every human society.

Biologically, it is the male that produces life, the blood, and the seed that carries the hemoglobin during the fleshly union with the female person. The woman's role in this sexual union is that of her accepting to be used as the ground where the male seed is planted. The woman accepts the man – accepts his advances and opens her body for the man. From then on her body vanish the egg – the nest which the seed from the male should develop and grow. After the male seed had launched itself into the egg, the woman then has to nurture the seed for long enduring nine months or so. During which period the woman's body completely changes. The whole woman's body is changes and galvanizes in order to take care of the seed of the male which it had agreed to receive.

We went to these painful details because of contestation that Barack Obama is not black in exact sense of the word. So having dispelled the deliberate myths let us return to the question.

How should the black people benefit from the ascendancy of Barack Obama to the pinnacle steeple of the throne of the world? It should build confidence.

Confidence according to Webster's dictionary is full trust; belief in the reliability of a person; self-reliance; assurance or boldness; having no uncertainty about one's abilities. Confidence is the magic key for advancement. It was confidence that propelled Christopher Columbus to give the world the United States of America. Because Columbus had confidence on his convictions, he refused to believe that you could travel the ocean and all of a sudden fall down a steep cliff into the mouths of monsters.

The belief of the fact that at the highest pinnacle of the throne of there is a black man in shining armor ruling the world should make all black people, all Africans and African Americans to become modern day Christopher Columbus.

For the fact that black people throughout history have been battered and condemned but in the final analysis still be able to achieve this highest level and role in world affairs mean something deeper about the black soul, something immaculate and deeper beyond all reason.
