Just recently I wathced in amazement how the yellow double line on our road was painted. No folks, don't take me wrong, I wasn't amazed at the painting process, but at the inefficiency of our local Governemnt or rather our local Townshps. It happens that the Township line that devides two different Townships goes through my property and I had a good chance to abserve their painting process. The Township's line on the back road that the yellow line was painted ends about 500' away from the main state road, so that 500' of road belongs to a different Township. Well, the Township that owns most of this back road painted this yellow line and ended right where the other Township line beggins or 500' away from the main state road. My question is, how efficient and easy would it be for the Township that was painting this yellow line to take it all the way to the state road or extra 500'? I bet it would take 5 more minutes and several gallons of paint. Also, how easy would it be to send a bill to the other Township for this extra 500' of painting? I bet it would cost $200, no more. Well, it did not happen. Now the other Township would need to bring all the equipment, etc. to finish this 500' of the road. And I bet it would cost taxpayer at least $2,000 now. Simetimes I wander if those people think. But I guess I'll send them an email, but kind of doubt they will take any actions to improve. I'm sure that's how the Government works in many cases waisting our hard earned $$$$.
