Even better, all the photos and videos I take from my Android-equipped HTC Incredible are uploaded by my Google Plus App to Google’s cloud . I can access them in Google Plus on any computer. This is perhaps the handiest Local SEO feature of Google’s social networking site, and the one I use the most. As far as convenience goes, nothing beats unlimited easily uploaded cloud storage, and that’s what Google offers. Unfortunately for Google, like Circles it’s an easily replicated feature. Already Facebook has begun to mimic Google’s Circles feature, allowing users to place their friends in “Close Friends” or “Family” or “Acquaintances” and this works just about like Google’s Circles feature. It wouldn’t be hard for Facebook to simply create a feature in its mobile app that allows instant and unlimited upload of photos and videos, thereby undermining the one remaining definitive feature of Google Plus. This would leave users with a choice between two social networks largely indistinguishable from one another. Facebook has much deeper roots and a more established user base. It’s hard to imagine that Google Plus, without offering anything really new or different, could compete on the same plane. Maybe Google can find a way to make Google Plus more integral to its Android operating system. Otherwise, it’s hard to not to see diminishing utility for the site.
