Most people nowadays have their own email accounts and for each account a unique address is assigned for contact purposes. An email address is important to send your email and to send it to the right person. If you’re one of the countless people who have a Hotmail login account, there are two main options to get contacts. You can either manually add someone’s email address to your contacts list or you can import contacts by uploading a CSV file. It is very useful to add contacts to Hotmail to relieve yourself from typing your contacts’ email address every time you send an email. Follow the walkthrough below to add Hotmail contacts.
Access your Hotmail login account in the Windows Live page. Once admitted, you will see the overview of your email account.
Look for the menu located at the left part of the Hotmail screen. On the bottom part of the menu, click the “Contacts list” link. A list of Hotmail contacts will open and it is in here that you can add or edit your contacts.
To add a new contact, click the “New” button located above your contacts list. Enter the details of a contact you want to add to Hotmail, including the contact’s email address and name. After adding the necessary information, click “Save” to add the contact to your account. If you still have more contacts to add, just click “New” again.
If you have downloaded a CSV file of contacts from another email service, you can import it to your Hotmail account. To do this, click the “Manage” button located in the menu over the contacts list and select “Import” from the drop-down menu. Then, click “Browse” to search for and select the CSV file. Once the file located, click “Open.”
To finish importing, click the “Import Contacts” to add the contacts to your Hotmail account. The contacts will then appear in your contacts list.
Saving contacts in your account will not just cut your time on typing your contacts’ email address, but also relieves you from the hard time memorizing your contacts’ email address, which often times you tend to forget. So next time you access your hotmail login account, save your contacts to make your Hotmail experience easier.
